ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Corporate Legal Intern, you will work closely with experienced legal professionals on matters related to corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, M&A activities, and risk management. This internship is ideal for an undergraduate pursuing a legal career or a law student interested in understanding corporate legal matters within a business organization. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on corporate law, regulatory developments, and industry standards.
  • Assist in the review, drafting, and negotiation of contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Develop communications materials for internal legal website.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain organized files and assist with document management and legal database updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Compliance, etc.) on projects with legal implications.
  • Perform administrative duties and support ad hoc legal initiatives as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in a Juris Doctor (JD) program at an accredited law school or undergraduate program.
  • Strong academic performance with a focus or interest in corporate or business law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ethical standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with contract management systems is a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior internship or work experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Knowledge of corporate structures, compliance, or SEC filings is a plus.
