ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance Systems Intern will support the administration, enhancement, and day-to-day operations of Tenneco’s consolidation platform, OneStream, and related enterprise performance management (EPM) reporting processes. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working within OneStream, learning how the support model operates and developing an understanding of what it takes behind the scenes to maintain financial consolidations and reporting systems.

 

You will be exposed to the monthly close and forecasting processes, working with financial data, metadata structures, system configurations, and reporting hierarchies. The intern will assist with maintaining system integrity, supporting business users, identifying process efficiencies, and contributing to ongoing optimization initiatives. This position is ideal for someone interested in financial systems, data analytics, and the intersection of finance and technology.

 

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Tenneco’s OneStream consolidation platform
  • Assist with monthly close and forecasting cycles within the system
  • Maintain and update metadata, hierarchies, and reporting structures as needed
  • Support data loads, validation checks, and reconciliation processes
  • Troubleshoot user issues and respond to system-related inquiries
  • Help document processes, workflows, and support procedures
  • Analyze current reporting and consolidation processes to identify efficiency improvements
  • Assist with testing system enhancements, updates, and new functionality
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to support reporting and system initiatives
  • Contribute to ongoing optimization and automation efforts within the EPM environment

 

EDUCATION

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts
  • Interest in financial systems, reporting tools, and data structures
  • Familiarity with ERP or EPM systems (OneStream experience is a plus but not required)

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical systems
