This role, within the corporate finance team, has high visibility to the entire Tenneco Executive Leadership Team. It presents an opportunity for highly motivated and capable applicants to build an exciting, meaningful and high-impact career path within the organization. The ideal candidate will have consulting/advisory experience from a top-tier consulting firm or financial institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy development: collaborate and lead teams to develop cohesive strategies on topics such as:
- Financial performance and optimization
- Market growth and segmentation
- Capital allocation decisions
- Operational productivity, performance, cost structuring and footprint
- Business analytics: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Transaction support: work with Tenneco executive leadership and corporate development teams to conduct financial and operational analysis during M&A transactions
- Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve financial performance, including cost reduction and margin improvement programs.
- Reporting: Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports to senior management and Tenneco CFO
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred
- Experience: At least 7 years in strategy, banking, or private equity; familiarity with industrial sector
- Technical: Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting
- Analytical: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and innovate
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to senior management
- Team Player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive or industrial sector
- Tools and Technologies: Familiarity with financial analysis tools and software
