Global Finance Strategy and Analytics Intern

Job Description:
We seek a talented student to join our corporate finance strategy and analytics team. This is an opportunity to join a high-visibility team, that works closely with a team responsible for delivering insights and recommendations to Tenneco’s Business Unit General Managers, CFOs, and Tenneco’s executive leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business analytics: develop and build models in collaboration with Tenneco Corporate Finance and business unit teams to identify productivity, profitability and growth opportunities across Tenneco’s business
- Strategic modeling: building, reviewing and reporting on models to support the following topics
- Financial performance and optimization (P&Ls, balance sheets and cashflows)
- Operational productivity, performance and cost structure
- Reporting: support the development of reports in collaboration with Finance Strategy team
- Research: compile automotive market research and competitor/customer benchmarking
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Current MBA candidate with a focus in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with coursework in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic management.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced) and other financial modeling software/tools.
- Experience with ERP or financial planning systems (e.g., OneStream)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with large datasets and draw insights from them.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience:
- Previous internship experience in finance or accounting (preferred but not required).
- Experience with financial reporting or budgeting is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within the automotive or industrial sector
