 The Director of SAP Application Services is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational management of SAP applications across the organization. This individual will lead a global team of SAP professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality application support and solutions that align with business objectives. The role encompasses governance of managed services, providing application expertise for projects, developing solution architectures, conducting business analysis, managing licenses, overseeing change management, and preparing for ITGC controls audits.

The Director will leverage their extensive knowledge of SAP modules, including Production Planning (PP), Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the SAP landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of business processes and IT governance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Team Management:
    •  Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of SAP professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
    • Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and support to team members.
    • SAP Application Expertise:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP application-related inquiries and issues.
    • Ensure the team provides expert-level support and solutions for SAP modules PP, SD, MM, and FICO.
    • Governance & Managed Services:
    •  Oversee the governance framework for managed services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure optimal performance.
    • Project Management & Solution Architecture:
    • Provide strategic direction and application expertise for SAP-related projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Develop and maintain robust solution architectures that support and enhance business processes.
  • Business Analysis & Change Management:
    • Conduct thorough business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and SAP enhancements.
    • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption of new SAP functionalities.
    • License Management:
    • Oversee the management of SAP licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and optimizing license usage to control costs.
  • ITGC Controls & Audit Preparation:
    • Prepare and maintain IT General Controls (ITGC) to ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
    • Collaborate with audit teams to address any findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education: (EDUCATION REQUIREMENT)

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

 

Experience: (# OF YEARS EXPERIENCE)

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP application services.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing global teams.
  • Strong expertise in SAP modules including but not limited to PP, SD, MM, and FICO.
