This position is responsible for executing Business Continuity plans across designated manufacturing facilities and serves as project owner for highly complex, cross-functional, geographically dispersed locations. This role reports directly to the Executive Director, Business Continuity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing business continuity plans and strategies to ensure business operations can continue in the event of a crisis.
- Working with manufacturing facilities to execute business continuity kick-off materials.
- Facilitate conversations to drive the delivery of the business impact analysis, including outlining critical business processes, assets, data flows, notifications, and escalations.
- Manage, educate, and facilitate readiness, response, and recovery procedures in collaboration with field leaders and partners.
- Utilize a project management approach to develop mechanisms for facilitating on time and on budget execution of continuity and resilience activities within the field.
- Facilitate table-top exercises and tests with plant leaders, driving updates to drafted plans.
- Conduct business continuity risk assessments, establish expectations, facilitate execution of contingency activities.
- Manage the delivery of each business continuity plan in scope, including disaster recovery, and crisis management plans and the subsequent completed business continuity summary report and metrics.
- Accountable to communicate status, and coordinate escalations to the business continuity leadership team.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience managing dynamic projects, programs, and facilitating process improvements.
- Acquainted with established business continuity, project management standards (ISO, PDCA) and/or applicable frameworks in support of execution, preferred.
- Skilled conducting continuity risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and adept at analyzing and synthesizing data gathered.
- Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple detail-oriented tasks.
- Ability to work in a complex, highly matrixed, dynamic, and fast-paced environment with strong project management skills which include prioritizing and balancing workload, anticipating next steps, and adapting to change.
- Ability to build strong working relationships, influence people and change at various levels, and establish credibility with leaders and stakeholders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; articulate and persuasive communicator (large audiences and 1:1 engagement) with the ability to demonstrate tact, diplomacy, and nuanced understanding of the communication needs of different audiences.
- A knack for working with ambiguity and effectively navigating different challenges to identify and leverage opportunities.
- High level of energy, creativity, curiosity, and flexibility.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio and Smartsheet.
- The successful candidate must be capable of domestic travel, sometimes with short notice, up to 30%.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and BCI, DRII, and PMP certifications are preferred.
Experience: Relevant field or industry experience delivering business continuity plans preferred.
