The Digital Business Transformation (DBT) team at Tenneco is accelerating simplification, operational effectiveness, and organizational velocity across our global manufacturing footprint. We’re looking for a detail-driven Business Analyst who can turn data into clarity, build trusted reporting, and help drive execution across transformation initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, operations, and stakeholder engagement—someone who can go beyond building slides and trackers to surface meaningful insights and confidently support follow-through with initiative owners around the world.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Transformation Tracking and Reporting
- Maintain and enhance dashboards, trackers, and reporting mechanisms for DBT initiatives across manufacturing and functional areas.
- Own weekly and monthly reporting cycles, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Support financial tracking, benefits realization, and progress measurement for transformation initiatives.
Insight Generation
- Analyze operational and project data to identify trends, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Translate numbers into clear, actionable insights that inform leadership decision-making.
- Identify deviations from targets and proactively flag issues, including recommended corrective actions.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for initiative leaders across plants, regions, and global functions.
- Confidently follow up with global initiative owners to validate data, clarify assumptions, and close gaps.
- Participate in meetings with executives and operational leaders; help prepare materials and respond to data-related questions with clarity and confidence.
Process & Execution Support
- Help standardize data definitions, reporting processes, and governance routines across the transformation program.
- Support continuous improvement of operating mechanisms—simplifying templates, automating manual work, and improving workflow velocity.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on metrics, status, risks, and next-step actions.
Minimum Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in business analysis, operations analytics, PMO support, or transformation tracking—ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivots, data modeling).
- Experience managing or supporting enterprise-wide transformation, cost-reduction, digital, or operational excellence programs.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and ambiguous inputs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present data clearly and answer follow-up questions with confidence.
- Proven ability to work with geographically distributed teams at multiple organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital transformation, Industry 4.0, or manufacturing systems (MES, ERP, automation).
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs, operational metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting senior-level reporting or PMO functions.
Success Profile
The person who succeeds in this role typically:
- Sweats the details and checks the numbers twice.
- Moves seamlessly from spreadsheets to conversations with plant managers or executives.
- Turns data into insights instead of just charts.
- Operates with urgency and accountability.
- Is organized, curious, and not afraid to ask questions or challenge unclear inputs.
