We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic finance team. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the corporate accounting department, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and intercompany transactions.

- Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.

- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved promptly.

- Supervise and support accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.

- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls.

- Analyze financial data and create reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

- Support special projects and initiatives as needed.

 

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.

- Thorough knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

- Experience with accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
