Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes for receiving, storing, and distributing goods. This role supervises warehouse staff, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Team Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse staff
- Assign tasks and monitor employee performance
- Train, coach, and motivate team members
- Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues
- Operations Management
- Oversee receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
- Ensure orders are processed accurately and on time
- Monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements
- Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts
- Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Ensure proper storage and handling of products
- Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety standards and procedures
- Conduct safety training and inspections
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA)
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly operational reports
- Track KPIs such as productivity, accuracy, and order fulfillment rates
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments
- Equipment & Facility Management
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment
