The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team within Tenneco, ensuring all stamping presses, automation systems, and support equipment are operating efficiently and safely. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on stamping presses and related equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational goals.
  • Manage and train maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Oversee contractor work and ensure timely completion of outsourced maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as equipment uptime, MTTR, and maintenance costs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a stamping or heavy manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of stamping press operations, die maintenance, and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, robotics, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience with CMMS software and maintenance planning tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
