Summary
This position is responsible for operating and making adjustments on welders, assembly machines and related equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operates and makes minor adjustments on welders, testers, painting equipment, assembly machines, gauges, related equipment, material handling, forklift, power and hand tools
- Performs own visual and dimensional inspections using measuring instruments, to maintain quality levels
- Required to maintain records, counts, charts, identification, labor tickets, etc.
Job Duties:
- May be required to obtain materials needed for production
- Maintains oil levels and coolants, safe operations and safety procedures
- Performs other related duties, advises supervisor and other personnel of equipment or production problems
- Must apply all environmental and safety procedures as outlined in work instructions
- Current attendance occurrences must not exceed (5) five points
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills:
- Must have a strong work ethic

- Must be able to work with precision and a high level of accuracy

- Ability to set up and operate a variety of machine tools
- Ability to use hand or power tools
- Ability to weld metal parts, components or structures; able to use TIG welding equipment
- Ability to fabricate, assemble or disassemble manufactured products by hand
- Ability to understand technical operating, service or repair manuals
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of gages such as dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
- Ability to speak and write English fluently
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Work & Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
