Job Title: Quoting Controller
Reports to: Finance Controller
Position Summary:
Tenneco’s Performance Solutions business unit is seeking a Senior Quoting Analyst to support our Monroe Ride Solutions team. This role will support our Celaya, Mexico manufacturing plant by developing and managing customer quotations, cost models, and pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of customer quotations for new business opportunities and engineering changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations to gather cost inputs and validate assumptions.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, material pricing, labor rates, and overhead to ensure accurate and competitive quotes.
- Support strategic pricing initiatives and margin improvement efforts across the Celaya plant.
- Support plant and business unit leadership with ad hoc analysis and strategic projects related to quoting and profitability.
- Maintain and improve quoting tools, templates, and databases to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on pricing strategies and cost optimization.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor pricing to inform quoting decisions.
- Assist in the development of long-term quoting strategies aligned with business growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quoting, pricing analysis, or cost estimation in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost structures, and financial modeling.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and quoting software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across regional teams.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred due to collaboration with Celaya plant.
