Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Purchasing focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience. 

The Tenneco student program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute to an industry leading environment. As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. In addition to being assigned real projects that deliver results, students also participate in networking events, personal development training, and community service opportunities, among other activities that show you what Life at Tenneco is all about!

Possible responsibilities include:

  • Assist with collection and organization of data
  • Analysis of data (market, customer, competitor)
  • Policy and procedure development
  • Support team members as projects see fit
  • Support on supplier management system & database  (RFQ, PPAP request etc.)

Required of an Intern:
Must be able to work independently and in a team-based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher

Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Sales, Business, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution
