Co-op Job Description
- Assistant to product engineers in a wide variety of tasks; will receive training, guidance and feedback from multiple engineers; starting with smaller tasks and gradually increasing to larger and more complete project responsibility
- Collecting and organizing product design information including drawings, bills of material, and design specifications
- Performing basic calculations using spreadsheets
- Requesting prototype samples and tracking status
- Requesting testing or inspection and tracking status
- Adhering to environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
- Building or tearing down sample shock absorbers to inspect or troubleshoot issues
- Testing shock absorbers or components on hydraulic machines
- Inspecting or measuring shock absorbers or components
- Collecting and analyzing test or inspection data
- Organizing data and analysis to present to engineers or management
- Participating on problem solving teams
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement ideas including performance improvements, cost reductions, or engineering tools/process efficiencies
Test Department
Co-op Job Description
- Assistant to test engineers and technicians in a wide variety of tasks; will receive training, guidance and feedback
- Organizing and negotiating priorities of test requests
- Collecting and preparing test samples and test fixturing
- Adhering to environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures
- Performing standard shock absorber and component testing on servo-hydraulic equipment
- Completing post-test teardown and inspection including troubleshooting
- Reporting test status and results
- Organizing data and analysis to present to engineers or management
- Participating on problem solving teams
- Developing and implementing continuous improvement ideas including performance improvements, cost reductions, or engineering tools/process efficiencies
Requirements:
- Pursuing Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Expecting work and school alternating semesters; full-time work
- Eligible to work in US after graduation with no sponsorship
