POSITION SUMMARY:

The Program Engineer, Light Vehicle or CTOH will provide program engineering support to both develop new and support existing technology with customers. Coordinate engineering functions to launch concepts through production phase.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify new business opportunities and lead the activities to secure new business. Monitor passenger car and commercial truck markets to seek out and recommend new product/application opportunities.
  • Lead all program launch and design requirements while working with the Product Engineering team. 
  • Guide DFMEA and DVP&R activities using GCC resources to complete the task
  • Provide concepts and inputs for product design and working closely during quote and customer technical review meetings.
  • Support Business Units, Manufacturing, and customer groups as required. Support the TENPlus process and provide program management utilizing DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, and control plan development.
  • Support VA/VE initiatives through product, process, and purchasing initiatives.
  • Maintain current awareness of technical specialties and technical advancements in the industry.
  • Support and direct prototype activity as required.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures such as the quality management system, BOS and EH&S.
  • Travel to customers and manufacturing facilities required up to 35%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering functions developing and releasing product, preferably in areas of elastomer technology.
  • Strong communication skills required (written, oral and presentation).
  • Experience with Elastomer product design and development.
