- We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our Maryville DRiV team.
- Education and/or Experience
- High School degree or GED.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
- Position Overview
- Comply with all Safety and Quality Procedures
- Supervise all personnel and operations on the shift and departments as assigned.
- Evaluate and control product processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping of the departments assigned and meeting production quality and quantity standards on the shift.
- Organize work for smooth operations ensure the plant meets weekly and monthly production goals.
- Assure amounts, quality, and timeliness of components to the production lines are available to complete production schedules on time.
- Conduct daily status updates via Gemba boards for assigned areas
- Coordinate with Ops manager and HR manager to ensure adequate number of employees, scheduled hours, and work areas, and monitor efforts to complete planned production schedules.
- Communicate daily with employees, other supervisors, planners, and management to ensure status and needs of your area of responsibility.
- Keep aware of production requirements and expected performance
- Monitor the training status of all employees in your assigned area of responsibility
- Troubleshoots problems of scrap, salvage, and rework of parts to keep costs and occurrences at a minimum, creating corrective action teams as necessary
- Perform daily inspection of area of responsibility ensuring standards of cleanliness are met
- Contribute ideas for Safety, Quality, Process and 5S improvements within the facility
- Supervises employees in department in the production of quality products to meet customer order requirements and ensures compliance with all safety and health, environmental quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
- Performs other assignments (or duties) as required.
Essential Functions

- Maintains adequate number of employees, schedules hours and work stations, and monitoring efforts to complete planned production schedules.
- Communicates daily with employees and related departments.
- Keep aware of production requirements and expected performance.
- Informs plant manager of both progress and problems.
- Monitor progress of and determine areas of needed training.
- Troubleshoots problems of scrap, salvage, and rework of parts to keep costs and occurrences at a minimum, creating corrective action teams as necessary.
- Monitor daily quality, rework, and scrap.
- Establish and maintain accurate records for use of: manpower, machinery, production, training, materials, and area problems.
- Inform department of their performance and individuals of their performance in areas of production, safety, attendance, and housekeeping.
- Comply with all environmental, health, and safety practices, policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe and healthful working environment; prevent pollution, and practice waste minimization to make continual improvements in the safety and health of all employees and the environment.
