SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician will support manufacturing operations by maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing all facilities and manufacturing equipment in a safe and professional manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in plant and departmental attainment of safety, quality, productivity, and financial goals
  • Respond to all maintenance related requests with a prompt, professional, courteous, and willingness to help demeanor
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and PM plant production equipment, systems, and facilities following all regulation guidelines, maintenance best practices and lessons learned
  • Setup, installation, and commissioning of machinery to support inner plant moves and new launches
  • Use, maintain, and manage the Maintenance CMM system for work orders and PM’s     
  • Support facilities maintenance and continuous improvement activities that may include fabrication, welding, lift truck use, and/or aerial lift use
  • Attend and complete all required training necessary to ensure skill level growth as well as current compliance requirements from MIOSHA, NEC, JIC, and DNR
  • Must perform job with acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructions
  • Ability to be flexible in working traditional and non-traditional work hours, as required
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing environment, Automotive experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years documented Industrial Maintenance Department experience
  • Journeyman certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of how job performance affects product quality
  • Ability to work well with others and establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Ability to read, interpret, and prepare written reports, instructions, and procedures
  • Ability to use computers for email and related Maintenance productivity software
  • Ability to read and comprehend electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams
  • Ability to maneuver and adjust robot programming on primarily Fanuc, KUKA, and Panasonic robots in a robot welding and material handling setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of machine electrical systems and basic troubleshooting procedures
  • Experience in the use of fork trucks and aerial lift devices required
