POSITION SUMMARY

Perform all accounting functions necessary to exceed customer expectations.  Work with all departments to assure the quality of products shipped from this facility meets customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Analyze/reconcile account balances and participate in other closing activities
  2. Analyze and assist in preparation of Capital Appropriation Request
  3. Participate in annual budget development
  4. Monitor and prepare customer tooling packets to be sent to Sales
  5. Process accounts payable
  6. Maintain fixed assets
  7. Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructions.
  8. Back-up Assistant Controller and Controller

CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred or combination of related experience
  • 2-5 years’ work experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer related skills in spreadsheets and word processing applications, SAP a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, computers, telephones, desks, temperature controlled.
  • Manufacturing environment – includes, but not limited to, artificial lighting, machine/equipment noise, some welding exhaust, non-controlled temperatures, and PPE required.
  • Some travel which could include an overnight stay.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit frequently for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move about the plant in both the office and manufacturing areas.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Manual dexterity for computer work.
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner.
