JOB SCOPE:  Oversee a team to develop and maintain Plant processes and procedures to manager inventory, materials, production scheduling, customer demand, warehouse operations, and purchasing within the plant. Improve on-time deliveries to customers.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Responsible for the safety of direct report(s).
  • FG and RM inventory levels
  • Oversee all purchasing
  • Indirectly manage warehouse, shipping and receiving and storeroom operations
  • Production scheduling of shop orders
  • Raw material requisitioning and supply to production
  • Responsible to oversee all customer related EDI activity
  • Develop and execute the master schedule as agreed to at the monthly sales, operations and planning meeting
  • Maintain raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory in conformance to objectives, prevent / minimize obsolescence
  • Direct the orderly introduction and phase out part numbers
  • Report results against goals
  • Regularly indentify and implement cost reductions, waste elimination, process improvements
  • Other duties as may be assigned

 

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience. B.S. Degree in Business Administration, APICS & NAPM certification is preferred.

 

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills:
    • must have excellent communication skills, use tact and diplomacy when communicating with any  level of the organization, internal or external
  • Experience in ERP systems
  • Microsoft Office familiarity  (Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Access)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to negotiate requirements with customers
