Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for Plant PE operations
- Analysis & Corrective actions for OEE losses
- Tooling Maintenance / Procurement / Critical tool stock maintenance
- Daily meeting – Department / Operations / New RFQ / CFT for Quality / Safety etc..
- IATF Documentation – PFD / PFMEA / Work Instruction / Procedures etc ..
- Continuous improvement / Kaizen / Poka Yoke etc ..
- SAP – Procurements
- Capex forecasting
- Activities Pre-award the business from customer.
- Understand design requirement from Customer.
- Manufacturing feasibility Study with CFT
- Work on Process Design, Capacity required & available for RFQ volumes, Arrive Budget for Tooling & Equipment / Building, Calculate Manpower/Man-mins Required,
- Activities after Business award
- Process Design, Sign-off with CFT, Capacity Design & Signoff with CFT, Concept Designs for Tooling & sign-off.
- Getting Quotes from Suppliers, Negotiations on quote, Ordering, Work with Supplier for development, Work with CFT for Design Approvals,
- Part Production trails at Supplier Site,
- Inward & Part Production Trials on Intended machines, Confirm Cycle times & output as per designed in RFQ,
- PPAP Document preparation, Work with CFT for PPAP & preproduction lots.
- Carryout Internal / Customer PPAP
- Handover to production with CFT.
Ideal candidate experience:
- In new product & process development, Launch management , Shock absorber manufacturing . (Passenger Vehicle, Commercial Trucks, Off Highway Vehicles, etc.)
- Continuous improvements activities for Quality, Cycle time, Capacity improvements, etc.
- Tooling Design / Maintenance & improvements
- Launch Management
Skills and capabilities (leadership and/or functional):
- Team Player with Positive approach,
- Knowledge of exhaust system parts & its manufacturing processes
- Knowledge on MIG, Resistance Welding Processes, Assembly Processes, Grinding / Automation
- Strong knowledge in Failure modes in process & product design & development with recoveries.
- Good Negotiation Skills,
- Knowledge on New technology & Process development & Launch
Qualifications/ certifications:
- DME or BE with suitable experience.
