Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role
You will lead the responsible for all New valve technology introduction and localize the from global region to India region, Valve part development, evaluation, validation, support Valve tuning and team,Valve Design Rule, Demonstration of New valve technology, The role demands communication and collaboration with multiple Internal team, global teams, supplier partners and may require travelling to other locations based on initiative needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for shock absorber valve development.
• Design and development of valve from Global region to India region.
• Evaluate and Validate the damper performance on localized valve.
• DFMEA of new or existing valve parts.
• Support to get this validated on vehicle level subjective and objective R&H parameters for benchmark and project vehicles and prepare reports.
• Maintain standard design rules for shock/strut dimensioning, tolerances, characteristics, and valving… (on application level/ noncore component)
• Act as expert Product design and Development.
• High level Engineering expertise required.
• Supports Technical Project Leaders/Application engineering team.
• Maintain skills in valving towards vehicle performance on ride work.
• Support TPL by providing ride work report.
• Continues support to customer requirements in R&H.
• Flexibility on travel (within India) must require.
• Based on need and necessity abroad travel would require.
• Co-ordinate customer specification change request
• Support TPL if any damping force not matching with sealed damper
• Support TPL for ride kit preparation
• Get knowledge from Global team on new valve technology and provide demonstration to OEM and prove our technology with respect to R&H.
• Involve and paly role in Problem Solving and failure mode analysis.
• Support Warranty concern from OEM or end customer.
Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering and other technical discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of technical delivery experience with the demonstrated track record of growing responsibility
• Experience facilitating Automotive Product development to solutions on time, on budget and to spec
• Must know the process APQP
