Job Overview/ Purpose of the Role You will lead the responsible for all vehicle level shock absorber measurement like Noise, Acceleration, Side Load, Temperature, Displacement / Stroke & Demonstration of source of noise generation. The role demands communication and collaboration with multiple Internal team, global teams, supplier partners and may require travelling to other locations based on initiative needs.

*Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge on suspension system and shock absorber design & working principle.

• Performing subjective and objective evaluation test for Noise, Acceleration, Side Load, Temperature mapping, displacement/Velocity as per evaluation criteria and standards for shock absorber.

• Must have hands on experience in shock absorber level layout, load calculation and analysis of load to review the design verification plan.

• Handling of vehicle level shock absorber instrumentation like data logger, sensors, Noise measurement instruments (LMS Scadas &Strain gauges, accelerometers, LVDT.

• Data acquisition and correlation with respect to subjective observation

• This objective data must be done once design is fixed and must be aligned with development team of OEM. This data will be as Master for future reference.

• Strong knowledge on NVH, Data acquisition system, Instrumentation

• Analyzing vehicle level tested complaint shock absorber (like Noise, breakage) and warranty level complaint shock absorber and co-ordinate with internal customer and external customer to make judgement.

• Must have strong knowledge on data analysis to provide the objective data is very much needed for root cause analysis.

Qualifications (Education/ Experience/ Key Competencies)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering and other technical discipline preferred, or equivalent work experience required. Advanced degree preferred.

• 6+ years of technical delivery experience with the demonstrated track record of growing responsibility • Experience facilitating Automotive Product development to solutions on time, on budget
