KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and submit Czech VAT returns, including VAT Control Statements and EC Sales Lists, and support VAT reporting requirements for Slovakia, Poland, and the UK.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and audits and liaise with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform intercompany balance reconciliations (ICY) and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare payment documentation, including bank transfer orders and netting transactions.
  • Support cash flow monitoring and preparation of cash flow forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Shared Service Center (SSC) to ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices.
  • Review and post selected invoices in SAP, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax requirements.
  • Partner with internal teams including Accounts Payable, Payroll, General Ledger, Operations, HR, and Shared Services to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and company internal control procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Investigate, identify, and resolve accounting, tax, and reporting issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports, reconciliations, and analyses as requested by management.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, general ledger, or financial reporting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
  • Experience with VAT compliance and tax reporting.
  • Experience with account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of SOX/internal controls.
  • Experience working with Shared Service Centers.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, PLEX, OneStream, or other reporting tools.
  • Experience in an international or multinational company environment.
