JOB SUMMARY:

The CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATOR is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating customer service needs with other functions as required.  May serve as customer contact regarding such matters as pricing, scheduling, shipping and trouble shooting.  May also be responsible for customer online portals and performance rating disputes.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages customer accounts, requirements and communications for all assigned customers.
  • Enters in manual orders, coordinates expedites, changes and/or adjusts orders as necessary
  • Conducts Performance Measure Reporting on metrics such as customer shipping performance, in-house shipping performance, and production and service for required customer
  • Communicates with Production about any changes in quantities, ship dates, past dues, and/or orders as received from the customer
  • Requests addition of new part numbers to PLEX system by an Item Master Add Sheet, routed through Engineering Department and returned when added
  • Coordinates domestic and international shipments and prepares related documents such as BOLs, SLIs, and/or labels
  • Maintains current work instructions for all assigned customers with contact/login information and any pertinent information specific to the customer
  • Verifies EDI transmissions and addresses any issues with Accums and lead times for orders
  • Advises Shipping & Receiving personnel in various job functions
  • Maintains an accurate finished goods inventory
  • Creates and maintains customer(s) returnable dunnage system
  • Coordinates with QE and VSM personnel to facilitate successful launch of new product
  • Enforces and follows plant rules and procedures
  • Determines carrier for both incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Performs other duties as required.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

High school diploma required, advanced degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Customer Service experience
