Role:  Commercial Recovery Trade Compliance Analyst

 

Job Description

The Commercial Recovery/Trade Compliance Analyst will work with multiple Business Units to analyze & manage trade & tariff data, complete OEM customer tariff recovery documentation for submission, and engage in OEM customer discussions to enable cost recovery.   This role will also manage and develop systems to improve efficiency of data retrieval, data analysis and submission timing to OEM customers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with OEM Commercial teams to develop strategies for tariff recovery from numerous OEM customers.
  • Analyze and process monthly tariff reports for Tenneco & Supplier Importer of Recovery.
  • Manage monthly submission process to multiple OEM customers, utilizing customer specific process and forms.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with the Business Unit Commercial Teams and Corporate/BU specific Trade & Compliance Team(s).
  • Manage Action Register(s) related to outstanding tariff & HTSUS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States) issues.
  • Consolidate monthly tariff data by OEM customer for recovery.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in trade regulations to ensure correctness of submission to OEM Customers.
  • Track cost recovery from OEM customers, US Government (CBP) and Canadian Government.  

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain or a related discipline preferred.  Commensurate experience, required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience win OE Automotive Supplier environment.
  • Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), preferred.
  • Strong background with Microsoft Office applications; Excel required.  Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Spreadsheets, etc.
  • Proficient with SAP and/or Oracle ERP systems.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, pressurized environment. Ability to adapt to situational demands of the business in meeting critical deadlines.
