Sustainability Engineer – Product Carbon & LCA (Global Role)
Context
This is a business‑critical replacement for a technically strong sustainability role supporting global OEM customers and global operations. The position reports directly to the Sustainability Director and has global scope across products, suppliers, and customer interfaces.
Although physically located in Central Europe, the function supports global programs and international customer requirements.
What “Good” Looks Like
We are ideally seeking a candidate with:
- Strong technical understanding of Product Carbon Footprint methodologies
- Practical LCA modelling experience (preferred beyond academic exposure)
- Comfort working with large, international supplier datasets
- Ability to build structured databases and improve sustainability data systems
- Experience in manufacturing, materials, or automotive supply chains preferred
- Ability to operate effectively in a global matrix organisation
Your Responsibilities
- Independently execute cradle‑to‑gate Product Carbon Footprint assessments
- Develop, model, and interpret LCA data and ensure methodological robustness
- Critically analyse supplier emissions data and ensure data quality and traceability
- Support regulatory‑driven documentation and compliance requirements
- Build and enhance structured sustainability data systems and internal databases
- Contribute to cost‑versus‑carbon scenario modelling for global programs
- Provide technical support for sustainability‑related customer requests (OEMs and internal stakeholders)
- Collaborate closely with global operations, purchasing, engineering, and commercial teams
