We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join Tenneco's dynamic R&D team based in Gliwice, Poland.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Create and develop automotive components following Tenneco's internal design rules, ISO standards, and customer-specific requirements. Oversee the process from concept through to production launch.

3D/2D Data Management: Efficiently manage and develop 3D/2D designs using Catia v5 or NX software.

Task Execution: Complete assigned tasks with precision and timeliness, collaborating with senior engineers and lead designers.

Reverse Engineering: Recreate component geometry using scanned cloud points for accurate replication.

Kinematic Analysis: Perform detailed kinematic analysis to ensure component performance meets design specifications.

Data Administration: Manage and update design data in SAP GPDM (Global Product Data Management) system.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Experience: Engineering experience in the automotive industry with exposure to development, manufacturing, program launches, process engineering, or quality assurance.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues, collect relevant data, and draw actionable conclusions.

Technical Proficiency: Competent in interpreting complex technical drawings and instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.

Software Expertise: Hands-on experience with Catia V5 for part and assembly design, generative shape design, and drafting.

Language Skills: Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
Additional Preferred Skills

NX Software: Experience with NX design tools is a plus.

Geometrical Product Specification (GPS): Knowledge of ISO GPS and ASME GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Programming: Familiarity with VBA or other relevant programming languages.
