Indirect Material Purchaser & CAPEX Buyer (EMEA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Indirect Material Purchaser to join our team in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating with suppliers for both indirect materials and equipment purchasing across our four plants in the region (Gliwice, Ermua, Hodkovice, Sint Truiden). The chosen candidate will report to the EMEA purchasing Director, will functionally report to the EMEA CAPEX coordinator, and will work in very close collaboration with the indirect material buyers at the plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Negotiations: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure the best possible terms for indirect materials and equipment purchases;
- Cost Savings: Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to reduce and/or avoid expenses related to indirect materials and equipment;
- Coordinate activities among the plants in the EMEA region to share best practices and to take advantage of the synergies.;
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and favorable terms;
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing;
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives;
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations;
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance;
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality;
- Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Support strategic supplier relationships through formal SRM processes and monitor supplier risk across the category;
- Inventory Management: Ensure optimal stock levels of MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials to meet plant requirements without affecting production;
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on indirect materials and equipment;
- Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of achieving cost savings;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge of the EMEA region's market dynamics and supplier landscape;
- Fluency in English (min. B2);
- Experience of working in multi-plant environment;
