Purpose of the role

Serve as the primary liaison between MRS Engineering and IT departments, leveraging engineering and IT expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineering and IT Teams: Drive key initiatives by leveraging process, data, and technical expertise to create cohesive and optimized solutions.
  • Document Requirements and Processes: Work closely with IT business product development teams to document requirements and supporting processes.
  • Develop Project Plans: Partner with IT delivery teams to understand tool capabilities and development possibilities, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Oversee Project Execution: Monitor project execution to ensure adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets, meeting Business Group Engineering expectations.
  • Utilize Engineering Tools: Employ expertise in CAx, ALM, PLM, and custom-developed engineering tools to foster innovation and enhance process efficiencies.
  • Analyze Data: Gather and analyze engineering and process data to provide valuable insights for decision-makers.

 

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Experience in product engineering processes for mechanical and/or electronic component development and manufacturing is essential; automotive experience is a plus.
  • Ability to translate/develop Statements of Requirements (SOR) into high-level IT solutions, driven by Business Group Engineering priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Engineering, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus.
