Role Purpose & Overview: Coordinates and conducts internal audits to monitor compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems and Standards. Coordinates the development and maintenance of the quality system.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to EH&S policy endorsed by the local management, comply with the legal and other requirements and operational controls established under its EHS Management System (EHSMS), work toward achieving established objectives and targets, and conform to procedures consistent with ISO and OHSAS standards. An employee should report and, if necessary, stop any activity that does not conform to the policy or may injure himself/herself.
- Follow and promote all safety practices; give proactive attention to safety, reporting all issues, and keeping work area clean and healthy per 5S standards. Inspect all equipment prior to use and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Understands how his/her role affects customer satisfaction and product safety.
- Follow all work instructions, both written and verbal, along with direction from manager. Must be able to organize and prioritize workloads to meet necessary deadlines; give advance notice & arrange to complete tasks in the case of foreseeable absences.
- Coordinates the development and maintenance of the quality system and compliance to IATF 16949 standards.
- Schedules internal audits to monitor compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems and Standards.
- Maintains control of all Quality forms and related materials.
- Functions as lead auditor for Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Schedules and carries out assigned internal audits, following through on non-compliance relating to those audits.
- Maintains central location of all audit files and monitors scheduled audits for timeliness. Acts as liaison/audit guide with external auditor. Creates audit schedules on an annual basis.
- Monitors Quality and Environmental Management corrective action log for timeliness of responses and follow-ups.

- Provide quality training for team members when needed.
- Monitors and maintains external standards to ensure latest information available (AIAG, CQI, IATF, etc.)
- Performs LPA and routine floor process audits.
- Performs according to the company’s core values.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or GED certification required.
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience required, 3+ years manufacturing experience preferred
- One-Year certificate from college or technical school, and/or one-year related experience and/or training
- Proficient in office Suite (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Successful completion of basic skills test
- Successful completion of drug screens, background screens, and physical demands testing for the assigned position
- Solid reading, writing and mathematics skills including decimals & fractions
- Ability to follow written & oral instructions
- Ability to work with a high level of precision
- Works well with others on the team
