We are hiring experienced Maintenance Machine Repair for our Frankfort, Indiana plant. Tenneco (Federal Mogul) has been an integral part of the community for over 60 years. Hourly employees are represented by UAW Local 1949.
Responsibilities:
- The desired candidate will have a minimum of 2-4 years previous maintenance experience and also have the ability to learn and progress in the areas of Machine Repair, Electrical, and other related maintenance work.
- Provide assistance in emergency response situations.
- Maintain adherence to yearly regulatory trainings (LOTO, confined space, etc) and follow protocols.
- Responsibility and authority to stop production when suspect products are being manufactured.
- Conform with Tenneco’s Environmental, Safety & Health Management System Policy
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and planned production equipment repairs.
- Some repairs may need to be done while production is not running, therefore weekends may be required to execute certain tasks.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have mechanical aptitude and must pass the mechanical comprehensive test.
- Must be able to climb and work at heights.
- Ability to drive a lift truck.
- Ability to do heavy lifting.
- Automotive manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Prior experience with the following skills: Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical (24VDC, 120-480VAC) systems
- Ability to work on projects individually and cross functionally.
Requirements:
- No High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check
- Must purchase own tools. Tooling allowance provided.
- Must pass a urine drug screen
- Monday through Friday 8-hour shift schedule but must be willing to work daily overtime or every other Saturday overtime as required. Occasional Sunday may be required.
Benefits & Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour commensurate with experience
