RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
- Lead and manage engineering services activities supporting production, maintenance, and plant infrastructure.
- Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting equipment, process, and facility-related issues.
- Ensure engineering solutions align with plant goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Partner with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment reliability, uptime, and performance.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and unplanned failures.
- Lead or support root cause analysis for equipment and system failures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to reliability, energy usage, and asset lifecycle management.
- Lead plant capital projects from concept through design, installation, and commissioning.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and ROI justifications.
- Manage contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.
- Support compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
- Ensure engineering changes follow formal change management and validation processes.
- Promote a strong safety culture within all engineering and project activities.
- Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Finance to support plant objectives.
- Translate strategic and operational requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Provide data-driven input to support operational decision-making and long-term planning.
- Lead, develop, and coach engineering services team members.
- Set clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans.
- Allocate engineering resources effectively to meet plant priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- 5–8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering environments.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and capital projects.
- Strong background in equipment, facilities, utilities, and plant infrastructure support.
- Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Project management and budgeting expertise
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across functions and at all organizational levels
- Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
- Adhere to the policy and practice of refusing to tolerate or allow behavior defined by Tenneco as unsafe.
- Comply with Environmental Health & Safety Rules and Regulations. Understand and adhere to the EHS Cardinal Rules. Must be able to understand what hazards are associated with their position and how to minimize them.
- All accidents/injuries/near misses no matter how slight must be reported to any member of management, and/or Environmental Health & Safety Manager who will follow escalation process.
