Application Engineer

Key responsibilities:
- Being the Technical Contact for Test- and Design engineers at our customers
- Translate customer requirements into product requirements Consultation of customers about our products
- Consultation of our customers concerning the influence of changes on product cost and price
- Consultation of manufacturing concerning products
- Product definition for IAM
- Support to productivity initiatives as outsourcing, etc.
- Close cooperation with different departments (product and process eng. Test, sales, marketing, production etc) required
- Act as a project leader from the start through product launch for customers
- Comply with the safety and environment requirements and responsibilities.

Skills and capabilities (leadership and/or functional):
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent knowledge in English additional language skills preferred (German, French)
- Excellent knowledge of PC-standard software, preferable further knowledge in SAP, CAD, etc.
Qualifications/ certifications:
- Bachelor degree needed
- Experience in Automotive or supplier industry
- Excellent knowledge of Friction and Brake Technology (manufacturing process and application)
- Several years of experience with customers and suppliers; customer oriented personality
