Application Engineer

Key responsibilities:Being the Technical Contact for Test- and Design engineers at our customersTranslate customer requirements into product requirements Consultation of customers about our productsConsultation of our customers concerning the influence of changes on product cost and priceConsultation of manufacturing concerning productsProduct definition for IAMSupport to productivity initiatives as outsourcing, etc.Close cooperation with different departments (product and process eng. Test, sales, marketing, production etc) requiredAct as a project leader from the start through product launch for customersComply with the safety and environment requirements and responsibilities.This Job description is not to be regarded as exclusive or exhaustive and you may be required to undertake other various duties requested by the company.Ideal candidate experience:Desire to work in a team environmentBusiness AcumenSelf-starter and capable of working independentlySkills and capabilities (leadership and/or functional):Effective communication skillsExcellent knowledge in English additional language skills preferred (German, French)Excellent knowledge of PC-standard software, preferable further knowledge in SAP, CAD, etc.Qualifications/ certifications:Bachelor degree neededExperience in Automotive or supplier industry                                                  Excellent knowledge of Friction and Brake Technology (manufacturing process and application)Several years of experience with customers and suppliers; customer oriented personality
