ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsible for production materials supplier development, sourcing, business negotiation, annual price down, contract sign off and payment management etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1.Strategic Planning
Strictly implement the company’s procurement strategy in accordance with corporate objectives and market demands.
- 2. Supplier Development and Management
Identify, evaluate, and screen potential suppliers, and lead supplier audits.
Establish and maintain long-term, stable supplier partnerships, particularly fostering deep collaborations with suppliers capable of providing parts involving complex processes such as stamping, casting, and forging.
Implement tiered and categorized supplier management to drive continuous improvement in product quality, delivery capabilities, and innovation.
- 3. Cost Control and Reduction
Conduct in-depth analysis of the cost structure of automotive exhaust components and demonstrate the ability to independently calculate procurement costs. Effectively control and reduce procurement costs through market analysis, negotiations, and supplier collaboration to ensure cost optimization while maintaining quality standards.
Effectively control procurement costs through market research, negotiations, and supply chain optimization. Lead annual price reduction negotiations with suppliers, track progress monthly, and achieve monthly cost-reduction targets.
- 4. Project Procurement and Cross-Functional Collaboration
As the project procurement representative, actively participate in the new product development process. Be responsible for the selection, finalization, and sample procurement of relevant exhaust components to ensure new projects launch on schedule (SOP).
Collaborate closely with internal departments such as R&D, Production, and Quality to jointly resolve technical challenges and quality issues.
- 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication
Serve as a bridge between the Procurement Department and other departments, including R&D, Production, Quality, and Finance, to foster close cooperation.
As the project procurement representative, deeply engage in the new product development process, responsible for the selection, qualification, and sample procurement of relevant exhaust components to ensure new projects launch on schedule (SOP).
Collaborate with the Quality department to address incoming material quality issues, ensuring that procured exhaust components meet technical and safety standards.
- 6. Quality and Risk Control
Collaborate with the Quality Department to establish strict component quality standards and inspection processes, ensuring that procured exhaust components meet automotive industry quality management system requirements such as IATF 16949.
Monitor risks across the entire supply chain, including supplier delivery capabilities and financial status, to ensure production continuity.
- 7. Contract and Process Management
Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts to ensure clear and legally compliant terms, while effectively controlling procurement risks.
Continuously optimize and improve internal procurement processes and management systems, and provide training to team members.
- 8. Team Leadership and Internal Coordination
Assist the department head in managing and coordinating the procurement team, clarifying responsibilities, conducting business training and performance evaluations, and enhancing the team’s overall professional capabilities.
Assist the department head in managing internal communication and collaboration to ensure the smooth completion of all procurement tasks.
- 9. Comply with the company’s EHS regulations, report potential safety hazards, and report EHS incidents.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree major in machining or above.
- Good communication skill.
- Familiar with biding and purchase process, supplier evaluation, assessment and relative quality system standard.
