SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Maintain, improve, and install electrical wiring and schematics for plant and facility equipment. Work with Millwrights in the installation of new equipment and attachments . Troubleshoot electrical issues to identifify root cause and take the appropriate action to correct issue. Respond quickly to down time with appropriate electrical troubleshooting.
The incumbent must be capable of handling many different responsibilities simultaneously while monitoring the ever changing priorities. He or she must be sure that all details are given the proper amount of attention when required, so as to not sacrifice one task for that of another.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide electrical support for new and existing machines by means of reading schematics, troubleshooting, and installing new wires and electrical fixtures.
Implement repairs and/or improvements on existing processes and equipment.
Assist Electrical Engineer in electrical projects or improvements
Work with 120, 220, 420 volt circuits
Required to work with electrical circuits and sensors
Assist in performing safety analyses on supported equipment.
Minimum Education Requirements:
High School Dilploma or equivalent
Journey Man’s card Preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements:
3-5 years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment, working on heavy machines, industrial wiring, and troubleshooting.
