We are looking for a Human Resources Representative. The HR Representative provides services to all employees in the areas of problem solving, benefits, policy interpretation, employee relations, safety, etc.  Supports and promotes HR department goals, objectives and initiatives and works to gain experience in the role and responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and staffing.
  • Resolves employee health care insurance issues and coordinates open enrollment as needed.
  • Conducts orientation sessions as needed to effectively on-board hourly and salary employees.
  • Prepares personnel forms, records statistics and handles highly confidential material in the human resources department. 
  • Maintains human resources information system data and/or processing employment status changes: new hire processing, termination, FMLA, etc.
  • Investigates and responds to employee concerns and complaints.
  • Works with Managers/Supervisors to enforce/administer company policies.
  • Works with Health & Safety Coordinator on Workers Comp claims.
  • Coordinates events & activities for the facility.
  • Ensures fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
  • Helps to ensure HR department is in compliance with all legal requirements, including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, EEO, I-9’s.
  • Works with HR Manager to ensure HR department supports overall business goals & objectives for the plant.
  • Uses good decision making to ensure policies & actions align with Human Resources strategies & business goals.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

 

 

EDUCATION: Associates/Bachelors Degree in Human Resources field required.

 

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

 

 

 

  • Certification in Human Resources and 3-5 years previous HR experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience with union environment preferred.
