Trade Compliance Analyst

You will help perform the day-to-day management of all trade compliance activities and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies. 

What you will do

• Manage US, CA and EMEA Region project classification work

• Support product Free Trade Agreement Qualification efforts for all regions; when required, will solicit suppliers for FTA certificates.

• Support collection of Supplier solicitation of Long-Term Origin declarations.

• Fall back support for EMEA Customs Operations / CBAM / Green Tax / REACH Compliance

• Provide supplemental operational support for US/CA operations

• Manage solicitating suppliers for Supply Chain Security Questionnaires, build an action plan with the supplier to meet requirements if needed 

• Manage customs broker performance in region, which includes conducting broker performance audits.

• Management of the global Restricted Party Screening operations, manage overall customer and supplier data collection efforts and first line screening. 

• Assist with collecting data reports from all broker partners globally, support Global Trade Data Analyst with data prep for trade metrics.

What will make you successful

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / business / materials management /supply chain / logistics required.

• 2+ years of related experience working with international trade regulations and import/export laws

• Thorough understanding of customs valuation, rules of origin, section 301 tariffs, GRIs, free trade agreements, ADD/CVD and incoterms.

• Experience with U.S. and international product classification.

• Ability to meticulously review documentation and identify discrepancies.

• Critical thinking skills, strong communication abilities, organizational expertise, and the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work autonomously.

• Proficiency with Microsoft (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams).   

• Understanding of supply chain concepts as they relate to importing and exporting.
