Job Purpose

 SIOP Manager serves as the subject matter expert for demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning while supporting various projects including; monthly demand plans, consumption models, network and production strategy optimization, integration of new business cases, and new product launches.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Implement and lead a new meeting cadence including running a BL-pre-SIOP and monthly Exec.-SIOP meetings.  Oversight of all on EMEA medium to long term planning systems (not ownership of operational teams)

  • Ensure data generated by functions and programmes is suitable for EMEA SIOP.  Coaching, mentoring, training and initiation of improvement projects, where required. Specific focus on tracking market assumptions & events and turn this data in continuous learning & improvement

  • Ensure identification, monitoring and reporting of assumptions, risks and opportunities relating to the medium and long term business targets

  • Hold appropriate personnel, including Market directors and plant leadership, to account for agreed actions for mitigation of risk or realisation of opportunities as identified via SIOP

  • Ensure all data generated via SIOP is accurate and timely for EMEA reporting

  • Continually review the SIOP process to ensure it continues to be up to date with current best practice and suitable for business needs

  • Escalate to EMEA Motorparts lead-team as appropriate, when above is at risk

Job requirements:

  • Good knowledge of ERP systems – preferable SAP

  • Elaborated Excel skills (> pivot tables)

  • Experience with statistical forecasting techniques

  • Fluent in English, other languages are an asset

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: Internal stakeholders (Manufacturing Plants, Marketing, Product Management, Purchasing, Pricing, Finance, Logistics, Senior Management)

  • External: Suppliers, Customers.

Education:

  • Minimum/Essential:       Bachelor degree preferably in business, logistics, supply chain

  • Desirable:                      Master’s degree in applied economics, engineering or similar                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Experience:

  • Minimum/Essential:       5+ year related experience within supply chain and demand planning environment
