Purchasing Data Analyst

The Purchasing Data Analyst will report directly to the Analytics Manager and will support the management team with reporting, analysis, standardization of processes/tools, and project management.
Key responsibilities:

Analyze key performance indicators, identify, interpret, and analyze trends in data sets. Create and maintain department and individual KPI dashboards.

Optimize data-gathering activities, such that it can be repeated with minimal effort on a periodic (e.g., monthly) basis.

Drive creation of consistent and ideally automated data reporting for key metrics such as spend, shipping performance & savings.

Assist the Manager and others with the development of commodity strategy preparation, sourcing activities and standard work.

Prepare presentations to management (Ex: project updates) and, as appropriate, present to the Purchasing Leadership Team.

Attend meetings as required to support or represent the Manager. Assist with ad hoc requests such as financial impact analyses.

Develop and research best practices for DRiV Purchasing.
What will make you successful:
-
2-3 years of related experience in supply chain, product management, finance, purchasing or a similar role that depends heavily on Data Analysis. (experience in the automotive industry preferred)

General understanding of data structures, mapping and experience working with multiple data sources.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Accounting, etc.), MBA preferred.

Solid computer skills with thorough knowledge of MS Office and experience using tools such as Power BI, Tableau & SQL.

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Fluency in English and very good communication and collaboration skills.

Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines.
