Tenneco is looking for a Plant Controller for Brunswick, Ohio plant. The Controller will manage the Brunswick, NA SGA, and Passthrough Accounting and Finance activities, providing leadership in financial statement preparation and analysis as well as continous improvement of the Accounting function.
The Controller will manage Accounting policies and procedures and assure Accounting activities are performed in a timely manner. This position is responsible to ensure an adequate system of internal control is maintained and that financial reporting is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Controller will interact with all levels of the organization to develop an annual operating plan and a 5-year strategic plan. This position will monitor and provide feedback on actual financial measures as compared to the annual operating plan, benchmark data, etc. This posiiton requires the exercise of sound judgement, initiative in areas where methods and practices are not completely or fully established. The Controller must be able to work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Accounting function and provide financial leadership to the Brunswick plant and North America SG&A and Passthrough entities.
- Analyst and provide feedback to Management regarding financial results, financial impact of specific business decisions and other business issues.
- Develop and manage financial procedures, ensuring compliance wiht the financial procedures of the corporation.
- Serve as the local lead in supporting internal or external financial audits.
- Lead accoutning activities for annual physical inventory and conduct Fixed Assets inventory as required.
- Manage annual CAPEX programs.
- Work with all levels of the organization to develop an annual operating plan and five-year strategic plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management
Skill & Experience:
- 3-5 years relevant work experience.
- Good written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong PC skills, including spreadsheet and word processing proficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
