Who are you?
- Execution-Oriented Leader: You run the day-to-day with rigor, ensuring materials, production, and logistics are always synchronized. You are accountable for delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost (SQDIC) results through flawless execution.
- Lean Practitioner: You use Lean principles to drive performance, eliminate waste, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You implement pull systems and flow-based layouts to improve throughput and reduce lead time.
- People Developer: You lead, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team. You set clear goals, provide feedback, and grow talent that can adapt and deliver in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Problem Solver: You address and lead root cause analysis, not symptoms. You structure issues, clarify ambiguity, and resolve roadblocks that impact planning, inventory, or delivery.
- Data-Driven Operator: You rely on data to manage performance, drive decisions, and escalate early. You balance short-term firefighting with long-term systemic improvements.
Who will you set to win, and how will you do that?
- Production Teams: You ensure materials, information, and priorities flow seamlessly to the shop floor. You align schedules, reduce disruptions, and support production to hit daily and weekly targets.
- Customer Planning Teams: You collaborate on forecast alignment, capacity planning, and schedule adherence. You ensure accurate order promising and protect delivery performance.
- Supply Planning & Procurement: You convert production plans into reliable material plans. You escalate supplier issues, ensure availability, and optimize inventory levels.
- Material Handling & Logistics: You oversee inbound, internal, and outbound flows. You improve replenishment systems, inventory accuracy, and logistics execution.
- Site Leadership Team: You are a key voice in site strategy and operations. You bring the supply chain lens to cross-functional initiatives and plant performance reviews.
What’s going to be your legacy?
- Flawless Operational Execution: You will lead your site’s supply chain to consistently meet or exceed SQDIC targets. Your rigor in daily management, escalation routines, and issue resolution will set the bar.
- Lean Supply Chain Implementation: You will transform the site’s material flow by embedding Lean principles and practices. From pull systems to improved warehouse and logistics processes, your work will deliver speed and simplicity. As one of the first movers, you will pioneer better-than-best-in-class supply chain processes and breakthrough projects that position your plant as the internal benchmark across Tenneco globally.
- Team Development: You will build a team that thinks end-to-end and owns outcomes. Your people will be recognized as trusted problem-solvers and future leaders.
- Data Visibility & Control: You will enhance system usage and data reliability, enabling better planning, faster decisions, and fewer surprises across the supply chain..
Experience:
- End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership: Strong experience leading multi-site supply chain operations focusing on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost management.
- Lean Transformation Cases: Strong background in driving Lean transformations within supply chain functions, linking Lean principles with supply chain strategies. Simplicity while eliminating waste, implementing pull systems, and leading lead time reduction is a must.
- Program Management: Demonstrated ability to support complex product launches and phase-outs with excellence in planning and execution.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align supply chain operations with broader business goals, co-developing strategies that support growth and operational excellence across multiple regions and plants.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or a related field. Master’s or certifications in Lean, APICS, or Six Sigma are a plus.
- Systems & Tools: Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and relevant BI tools. Ability to drive improvement through digital tools and analytics.
- Communication: Clear and effective communicator, comfortable presenting to site leadership and influencing across teams.
- Languages: Fluent in English; other languages relevant to the site location are a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to operate under pressure, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly to changing plant needs and constraints.
