Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Industrial Maintenance Technician (Maintenance I /Master Mechanic) to support equipment reliability and facility operations within our manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum equipment efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues in a manufacturing environment.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, sensors, belts, gearboxes, and valves.
- Operate and maintain tools and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, torque wrenches, and calipers.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Support installation and set up of new machinery and equipment.
- Log maintenance activities and parts usage in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and assist in minimizing production downtime.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, and facility-specific protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, vocational or technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, HVAC systems, and automated machinery is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for entering maintenance records and reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8–12 hours per shift
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, twist, reach and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Frequent use of hands for gripping, handling, and operating equipment and tools
- Ability to visually inspect tools and equipment
- Ability to hear and respond to machine sounds, alarms, and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, vibration, and varying temperatures
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
