ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Production Planning & Control (PPC) Executive/Specialist who can effectively manage production planning, customer scheduling, and inventory control to ensure seamless manufacturing operations and on-time customer deliveries. The role is responsible for coordinating with cross-functional teams, optimizing production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining strong customer delivery performance. The position is expected to contribute significantly to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting organizational growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements, forecasts, and business priorities.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to delivery commitments and production targets.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow and uninterrupted operations.
• Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve planning-related issues proactively.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Receive, review, and manage customer schedules, forecasts, and release orders.
• Analyze customer demand against production capacity and material availability to ensure timely fulfillment.
• Communicate delivery commitments to customers and monitor customer portals for schedule updates.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely shipments and delivery performance.
• Prepare and maintain production, dispatch, inventory, and other MIS reports.
• Monitor On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance and support continuous improvement initiatives in planning and scheduling processes.
• Participate in production review meetings and collaborate with customer representatives, Key Account Managers, and internal stakeholders to address delivery concerns and schedule changes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC), Production Planning, Customer Scheduling, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Operations.
• Experience in the Automotive or Manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Demand Management processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
