Snr Engineer-NVH
Date: Jun 23, 2026
Location: Beijing, BJ, CN
Company: Tenneco
ABOUT THE ROLE
Following a V-shape development process, the team focuses on defining the requirements of Tenneco’s technologies at the vehicle, system and component levels to meet customer needs. Thus, ensuring the requirements are captured in the design and that the design is properly validated by testing (on-field $ in-lab) and by simulations. We are continuously expanding our knowledge with analytical and numerical model validations, improving our capability to execute model based, development loops.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing the NVH performance assessment methods for complete mechatronic suspension systems (dampers, mounts, bushings, electro-hydraulic valves, pumps, electronics)
- Expanding the testing capabilities & footprint of our NVH testing lab
- Expanding the use of NVH simulation & modelling in new product development
- Defining NVH statements of requirements in the development of new suspension products and it’s components
- Participating in new technology development projects to ensure NVH & vehicle performance targets are achieved
- Releasing test specifications, procedures & work instructions for standardized NVH performance validation testing
- Training & coaching members in the various global application engineering locations to execute standardized NVH testing

- Experience in NVH design, analysis, test, & product release in automotive design or mechanical, hydraulic products
- Good knowledge in mechanical & hydraulic domains with ability to determine & execute effective methods for testing, analysis and simulation.
- Knowledge in vibrational & acoustic challenges of vehicle, suspension, engineering
- Knowledge of NVH lab testing equipment & methods (Shakers, Accelerometers, Modal Analysis, TPA, Pressure, Flow)
- Experience with NVH testing & analysis software (Siemens Test lab, HEAD Artemis)
- Experience in multi domain simulation packages (Simcenter Amesim)
- Knowledge in scripting/scientific programming (MATLAB/Simulink, Python)
- Acquaintance with hands-on work on automotive suspension & chassis components and knowledge of data acquisition and instrumentation for testing.
- Self-directed, able to balance working from home, office & travel up to 40% of the time
- Good written and oral communication skills, able to simplify complex engineering matters (English)
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
