Job Summary/Overview:

The Global Sub System Development Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation and continuous improvement of suspension sub systems and components. This role requires strong engineering expertise and problem-solving skills to develop innovative, reliable and efficient technical solutions that meet performance and quality objectives. The engineer will plan and organize development and testing activities, analyze results and prepare comprehensive technical reports. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including local and remote colleagues, to ensure seamless integration of sub systems components. Success in this position requires professional maturity, initiative and the ability to work effectively with international teams across different time wones. The ideal candidate demonstrates adaptability when working with diverse technologies, a commitment to excellence and a willingness to take on increasing levels of responsibility. A long-term orientation and dedication to continuous learning and development are highly valued. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 
Lead medium sized project independently or a big sub-project within a development project
Take ownership on tasks assigned from the more senior engineers in the project team.
Independent working and thinking, no guidance needed once request is clear. Special projects or assignments can be supervised
Create requirements for the projects and assigned tasks
Collect input to create a DVP based on existing DVPs
Training and mentor more junior team members
Quality first, able to perform and deliver in all circumstances, e.g. highly stressful situations or red-status projects with high customer pressure
Provide input on budgets for equipment, test setups and necessities for special projects
Participates in S/D-FMEA meetings and provide input
Create/Update bill of materials (BoM)
Create and write Development Reports
Create Design Work Orders and provide input to CAD designer for advanced parts and assemblies
Interact independently with regional suppliers


Qualifications:
Diploma: Master or higher degree in Engineering.
Fluent in English 
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automotive


Preferred:
Modeling and simulation skills in Matlab/Simulink, Amesim, Carmaker or any other domain/software.

Reporting Structure: Reporting directly to the Global Sub System Development Engineering Supervisor 
Location: China 
Travel: willingness to travel up to 10%
