Engineer-Global Sub System Development

Job Summary/Overview:

The Global Sub System Development Technician plays a vital role in the development, validation and maintenance of suspension sub systems and components. This position requires strong technical and development skills to develop, test and validate suspension components while ensuring high performance, safety and reliability. The technician will be responsible for organizing and executing tests, developing reports and interacting with both local and remote engineering teams. A high level of maturity and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners in different locations and time zones. This role demands adaptability to work with various technologies, as well as a willingness to take on greater responsibility over time. The ideal candidate is committed to long-term professional growth withing the company and demonstrates initiative in problem solving and continuous improvement. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Lead a small sub-project within a bigger development project
Support on tasks assigned from the more senior engineers in the project team
Development of test-setups or tooling to the needs of development project
Ensure that an existing DVP is executed (create TRs, create MWOs if needed, follow up with the Testing department, …)
Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of the situation requires judgment in selecting alternative courses of action. Solutions often based upon past precedent
Solve problems and roadblocks independently with limited support from the requesting engineer
Refer more intricate or sensitive issues to a higher level while maintaining responsibility for follow through until resolution
Work independently on a weekly basis. Receive general direction on work assignments and some level of supervision
Participate in S/D-FMEA meetings and provide input
Updates existing bill of materials (BoM)
Create and write Development Reports
Create Design Work Order and provide input to CAD designer for basic parts and tools
Interact with regional and global technicians/engineers

Qualifications:
Diploma: Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering
Fluent in English
hands-on and polyvalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in automotive

Reporting Structure: Reporting directly to the Global Sub System Development Engineering Supervisor 
Location: China 
Travel: willingness to travel up to 10%
