Job Summary
Lead manufacturing engineering and project execution for sintered metal components, ensuring on-time industrialization, zero-defect launches, cost competitiveness, and compliance with global export customer requirements. Own plant expansion, new line setup, and new machine development tracking from suppliers to SOP.
Key Responsibilities (Condensed & Outcome-Focused)
1. Project & Industrialization Leadership
- Lead end-to-end new product & new line industrialization from RFQ to SOP.
- Define and manage project timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth launches.
2. Plant Expansion & New Line Setup
- Plan and execute plant expansion, layout finalization, and capacity ramp-up.
- Lead new line setup, trials, validation, and handover to production.
- Ensure utilities, tooling, gauges, and manpower readiness.
3. New Machine Development & Supplier Management
- Track new machine build progress at supplier end (design, FAT, SAT).
- Ensure machines meet process capability, safety, and export compliance standards.
- Drive machine acceptance within approved cost and timelines.
4. Manufacturing Engineering Excellence
- Establish robust process flows, control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions.
- Drive process capability (Cp/Cpk) and cycle time optimization.
- Support continuous improvement, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
5. Quality & Export Customer Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, customer-specific requirements, and PPAP/APQP.
- Support customer audits, trials, and technical reviews.
- Achieve right-first-time launches with zero customer complaints.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Quality, Production, Maintenance, SCM, and Sales.
- Act as single-point owner for project communication and status reporting.

- Capacity achievement vs plan (90/120 days)
- Line OEE at stabilization phase
4. Machine Development & Supplier Performance
- Machine delivery adherence (% on-time FAT/SAT)
- Number of machine reworks post installation
- Machine availability at SOP
5. Quality & Export Customer Satisfaction
- PPAP approval rate (First time)
- Customer PPM at launch & post-launch
- Customer audit findings (major/minor)

Qualifications & Experience
- BE/BTech – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing
- 8–12 years experience in sintered metal / automotive manufacturing
- Strong exposure to APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, IATF 16949
- Experience handling export customers (OEM / Tier-1)
