Job Description - Design Engineer (BCC)

 

SCOPE OF THE JOB

• Design and drawing creation of Powertrain Components parts for Automotive engines is preferred.
• Tool design considering service life, manufacturability and costs.
• Strong Knowledge of GD&T, ISO GPS, Design FMEA, APQP and related concepts
• Experience in design calculations, product design as per ISO / JIS or DIN/internal norms and use of design tools.
• Independent design and development of constructive solutions with the help of additive manufacturing
• Technical Documentation, Data Base, Bench marking.
• Preparation and Co-ordinating with CFT for the documentation as per IATF 16949 requirements

MAJOR ROLE OF THE POSTION

• New Product developments in line with Customer requirement / input in accordance to JIS/ISO/DIN standards and general design practices.
• Consultation with Application Engineer, Analysis, and production for Engineering component
• Casting coordination with other production sites regarding die design.
• Determining costs and implementing procedures to reduce manufacturing costs
• Ensuring governmental regulations are followed during all steps of design,
• Solving engineering problems / Conducting statistical analysis as needed
• Knowledge in internal combustion engine testing is preferred.

 

SKILLS PROFILE

Qualification : Bachelor’s degree: Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience :

a) min. 5years in relevant industry (automotive, manufacturing or similar)

b) Work experience in CAD tools Creo9.0/NX2312 or above

c) Design calculations, Product design knowledge
