Role Purpose

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the business with premium segment car manufacturers. Reporting directly to the Customer Group Director North Europe, the KAM will play a key role in strengthening customer relationships, driving profitable growth, and ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal functions.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for distinct premium segment car manufacturers, managing all commercial and strategic activities.
  • Lead customer negotiations, including pricing, contracts, and business agreements, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to expand business opportunities and reinforce long-term partnerships within dedicated customer group.
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer trends to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with internal functions (engineering, operations, program management, quality, finance) to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver regular account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to the Customer Group Director North Europe
  • Promote initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen Tenneco’s positioning as a strategic partner.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in Key Account Management or Sales, ideally in the automotive sector.
  • Solid knowledge of OEM automotive customer structures and processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, financial and relationship management skills.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; German is a strong advantage.
  • Based in Bad Camberg or  Glinde (near Hamburg) with willingness to travel across Europe.
